I've really been getting into wrapping myself up in flannels, blankets and the new sweatshirt my grandma gave me for my birthday because the heat in this house isn't set more than 68. All the while I'm burning incense, drinking either tea or coffee (depending on my mood), and keeping an eye on the snow falling outside which doesn't seem to mind that it might foil my plans to get to St. Louis tomorrow.

I've been frequenting the weather.com website hoping I won't see any chance of snow for the day of January 12th, but so far they don't want to change their minds either. However, all weather advisories have been broadcast for today so I'm feeling lucky that I won't have to double the time it would normally take to get to the airport in Columbus tomorrow morning, when I begin my journey across the Midwest to visit the United States top-rated most dangerous city in 2010. We'll see what 2011and these merging snowstorms bring to this new city I look forward to exploring with dear friends throughout the next few days!
I'll make sure to pack a few flannel shirts in my backpack.
